Raquel Bordin

about

Raquel Bordin is a film editor and director based in Los Angeles - CA currently working for Pixar Animation Studios.

Born and raised in Brazil, she studied Cinema at the prestigious FAAP (São Paulo). During college she worked as a junior editor at a small production company which started her post-production career.

When she turned 21, Raquel moved to the U.S. to continue her studies and
received a BA in Fine Arts from NYFA. Her thesis film, “Tip Toe” received recognition  for its focus on LBGTQ+ and diversity issues in society. It received six Awards from multiple festivals and was a select to Cannes Film Festival (Short Corner).

Since then, she has been working as an editor for  the biggest companies in the industry and is the owner of Archetype Films, a production company founded by her and Candace Balido.

Her work in post-production, the appreciation to meaningful storytelling and her self-taught knowledge of Psychology are a bit of the ingredients that make this artist unique.
